Sam is in love with Guy. He's still dealing with the implications of that realization, but Sam's never exactly been the type of run away from love, no matter how much it frightens him. Guy's presence keeps him grounded, anchored in the here and now, and makes reality easier to bear. He'll stand by Guy and follow him into anything.

Ianto Jones guns_and_coffee ♥ ♥ ♥

Ianto has helped Sam. He found Ianto's mad poetic language accessible, and it became a way to talk about things Sam wouldn't know how to otherwise. He's glad to see that Ianto is recovering from the condition in which they first met face-to-face, but Sam still hasn't figured out how to talk to him in person.

Sam doesn't feel the same sort of emotional attraction to Bret that he does to Guy or Ianto, simply because Bret doesn't have that particular quality of fucked-uped-ness. That said, he recognizes Bret as a kind person and is more than willing to count him as... maybe a friend?

Sam sees Cassandra not really as a friend (especially since he seems prone to saying things that provoke her), but more of a mentor: someone to be respected and trusted, if not necessarily confided in. He's keeping her in mind to contact when he sees developments in his shamanism.

For a long time he only remembered her as That Woman Who Told Me Stories About New York and Penguins, but after meeting her again Sam appreciates even more how caring and giving a person she is. He'd like to know her better.

Gratitude and respect, the tiniest bit of fear. He thinks of Jack as someone stronger and more capable than he could ever be and finds his presence simultaneously comforting and unsettling. Now that he recognizes he's attracted to Jack, he's going to be a bit more wary around him.

Hasn't talked to Cedric since the oasis, some of the memories of which tend to get a bit... blurry and shoved aside. But Cedric gave him clothes so he could not be naked anymore, and he appreciated that.

They fought side-by-side during the battle for Jhelbor, and Sam is grateful for his help. But the fact that Daxter is a talking orange....thing still weirds him out somewhat.

Sam recognizes that he's Bret's friend, so he figures he must be a pretty good guy. He also noticed how quiet Jemaine was when they went to visit Ianto. Jemaine seems like the sort of person who's got a lot going on beneath the surface.

Sam's thoughts on Sookie can be summed up as "pretty goddamned confused." He likes her, he's definitely attracted to her, he's still a bit baffled that she even agreed to go out with him in the first place and he keeps getting the sense that she knows more than she's letting on. Though exactly how she could possibly know more, Sam hasn't got a clue.

Tony is total friend (possibly even kindred-spirit) material, and since friends have often been a rare commodity in Sam's life he is certainly grateful to know him.

If Adam hadn't brave enough to go charging up into the burning Tower to rescue people, Sam might have never made it out. Sam sees Adam as a credit to the city's new police force.

Toward Rachel, Sam feels an odd mix of closeness and repulsion. Closeness, because it can't be denied that she is (or at least appears to be) a genuinely good person who helped him in his time of need -- maybe even saved his live. Repulsion, because Sam feels ashamed at having appeared so open and vulnerable to a person he'd barely met.

He's a professional through and through, and Sam respects that, but his brusqueness grates on Sam's nerves at times.

They've met only twice: once in a bar, the other time by happenstance during a riot. Sam still isn't certain what to make of Ethan.

The Magistrate magistrated ?

Theirs is more or less a basic boss-to-employee relationship. Still, it's obvious to Sam that there's far more to the Magistrate than meets the eye.
